Volunteer

Because we're committed to offering our programs free of charge to area kids and to ensuring at least eighty percent of our income is used in support of those programs, our Chapter depends—in large measure—on volunteer power.

We can use assistance in many areas—from working with the kids, to helping us with fundraising events, to taking on an administrative task or two. No golf experience is required. Only an enthusiasm for helping kids succeed...And some time or talent to share with us on their behalf.

If you’ve read this far, thank you! If you review and return one (or both!) of our two Volunteer Interest forms (see below), we’d be even more grateful!

Assist With Programming

To assist with our Life Skills Experience classes, Target Outreach programs and other ad hoc needs related to programming, download this Program Volunteer Interest Form. Email Program Director Tom Briner with questions.

Assist In Other Areas

We welcome assistance in many other areas of Chapter operation, e.g., adminstration, graphic design, web programming, marketing/communications, fundraising, as well as service on a Board or Event committee. To assist in these areas, download this Non-Program Volunteer Interest Form. Email Executive Director Gale Wallmark with questions.

Background Checks Required

At The First Tee, doing all we can to protect our students is paramount and it's a requirement that all volunteers complete a background security check. As of August 2012, we have switched to a convenient, web-based system administered for us by SportsSignup.com. All volunteers must have a clean and current background check report prior to receiving an assignment with our Chapter.
