  GOLF MARATHON 2010
http://www.firstteemarathon.com

The First Tee of Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky will be holding its Second Annual Golf Marathon on September 27th at Four Bridges Country Club in Liberty Township.

This will be The First Tee’s final fund raiser for 2010 and our most important in that proceeds from the event will go to fund our Fall programs and help us achieve a balanced operating budget for the year. Your support of this event will ensure our success and will be greatly appreciated by the over 900 area children who will participate in our programs this year.

So, how can you help? You can either (1) sign up to play in the Golf Marathon, (2) sponsor a player in the event or (3) make a donation to The First Tee.

The Golf Marathon is limited to 36 participants and requires that each player, or group of players (see below), plays the equivalent of 100 holes of golf at Four Bridges Country Club on September 27th.

The agenda for the day is as follows:
8:30 am: Check-in and continental breakfast
10:00 am: Shot-gun start
4:00 pm: Cocktails & steak dinner

Lunch will also be served at the turn and there will be prizes awarded for the top 2 fundraisers and for a hole in one on a par three. Additionally, a $200 Nike amenity package will be given to each player (or designated player, if more than one person plays in your group). PLAY IN THE EVENT There is no entry fee for the event. But, in order to participate, you must commit to raise $3,000 or more in sponsor contributions. You can either (a) solicit support from friends, relatives and business associates, (b) donate all or a portion of the $3,000 yourself or (c) invite others to play with you and raise the required $3,000 among your group (i.e., a foursome would have to raise, on average, $750 per player to hit the $3,000 target). If you decide to play alone, you will be playing an individual 4 ball scramble for 25 holes. If you decide to invite others to play with you, you may count the holes they play towards your 100 holes (i.e., a foursome would have to play 25 holes in the event to achieve the 100 holes).

If you would like to sign up to play in the event, or require additional information, please go to our web site http://www.firstteemarathon.com
